Critical Issue Fund grantee ReFED is a collaborative, cross-sector nonprofit that is at the forefront of efforts to reduce the $218 billion of food waste in the United States.  It recently released two new tools: Innovator Database and Policy Finder. These comprehensive and interactive digital resources have provided key insights into the economic impacts, trends, opportunities and gaps regarding the effort to reduce food waste on a national level.

The release of these exciting resources comes on the heels of ReFED’s announcement that it has named Chris Cochran, former Senior Manager of Corporate Sustainability for Walmart, as its first executive director.
